Privacy Policy

WalkThen is designed so that the information needed to earn time and protect apps stays on your iPhone.

Who operates WalkThen

WalkThen is provided by Pairbeam (“we,” “us” or “our”). Privacy questions, access requests and deletion requests can be sent to berkay@pairbeam.app.

Information that stays on your device

WalkThen uses Apple frameworks to provide its core experience. The following information is stored and processed locally on your device and is not uploaded to us:

• pedometer steps used to calculate earned minutes;
• earned and used minute balances, session state and progress history;
• your Screen Time app, category and website selections, represented by Apple’s private tokens;
• your settings, access rules and language choice; and
• an optional Apple Health daily step total used only as on-device context.

Permissions

Motion & Fitness access lets WalkThen read verified iPhone pedometer steps. Family Controls and Screen Time authorization let you privately select and temporarily shield apps. Optional HealthKit read access displays a daily total for context and never creates earned credit. You can change these permissions in iOS Settings.

Analytics information

Release builds may send limited event-only analytics to PostHog so we can understand reliability and improve the product. This information includes a randomly generated installation identifier, app version and build, selected app language, platform, and product-interaction events such as onboarding progress, permission status, reward/session actions, coarse selection-count ranges, paywall views, and purchase or restore outcomes.

Analytics does not include your name, email address, advertising identifier, raw step history, Health data, the names of selected apps or websites, browsing activity, precise location, message content, or session recordings. The random installation identifier is not connected to a WalkThen account because WalkThen does not have accounts.

Purchases

Apple processes WalkThen Pro purchases and subscriptions. We receive entitlement and transaction-status information through StoreKit so the app can unlock purchased features. Apple’s handling of purchase and payment information is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

How we use and share information

We use limited analytics information to measure feature use, diagnose reliability problems, understand purchase outcomes and improve WalkThen. We do not sell this information, use it for advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Analytics may be processed by PostHog on our behalf, and purchases are processed by Apple.

Retention and deletion

On-device information remains until it is removed through WalkThen, iOS settings or app deletion. Analytics information is retained only as needed for product analytics and reliability. You may request deletion of analytics associated with your random installation by contacting us; we may need information from your device to locate that identifier.

Children

WalkThen is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security and international processing

We use HTTPS for analytics transmission and take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we process. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.

Your choices and rights

You can revoke Motion & Fitness, Screen Time or Health permissions in iOS Settings, disconnect protected apps inside WalkThen, and delete the app to remove locally stored information. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct or delete information we process. Contact us to make a request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as WalkThen changes. The current version and its effective date will remain available at this URL.
